Gathered Commons Press readers
Join our team of readers.
We are building a small group of thoughtful readers for unpublished books before they go to print. Early readers help us notice what is clear, what feels true, and where a story needs another look.
Tell us you’re interestedWhat we ask
Read a manuscript privately, send candid notes by an agreed date, and keep the work to yourself until it is published. We will tell you what kind of response would be most useful for each book.
Before a manuscript arrives
Every early reader signs the agreement that applies to them. A reader under eighteen also needs the signed consent of a parent or legal guardian before we send a manuscript.
For accepted readers
Reader workbooks
Your workbook accompanies the private reading copy prepared for you.
Accepted readers receive their workbook instructions directly from the press. If you need another copy, write to readers@gatheredcommonspress.com.
